Mayotte

Mayotte is located in the middle of the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and the African mainland. Geographically, the main island and the smaller side islands are part of the Comoros-Archipelago and form a French overseas department. As member of the European Union the means of payment is the Euro and the entry is easy for Europeans. The extraordinary richness of Mayotte especially attracts water sport enthusiasts and nature lovers. Highlights are the diverse culture, the exciting hiking trails across the island passing baobabs and lemurs as well as the varied fauna with sea turtles, dolphins, whales and countless other species.
